The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) has clarified that the decision on the winter vacation for classes till 9 will be taken after the scheduled annual examination, that have started today (November 25).
The director of the school’s education Tassaduq Hussain Mir informed reporters that at present they are focussing on conducting the exams smoothly and in a fair way. “There will be no winter vacations before the exam,” he reiterated.
The admission process for the classes will begin after the annual examination ends. Meanwhile, the Manipur government scrapped its decision to reopen schools and colleges in Imphal Valley and Jiribam district on Monday, officials said.


Schools and colleges were shut in Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, and Jiribam for about a week due to prohibitory orders issued in view of fresh violence in the state, they said. Read More
