Allu Arjun and director Sukumar's Pushpa 2: The Rule passed the Monday test with flying colours. On December 9, the film raked in nearly Rs 65 crore nett at the domestic box office. In just five days, the Pushpa sequel has grossed over Rs 900 crore worldwide and is still going strong. Soon, the Sukumar-directorial will breach the Rs 1,000-crore mark and create a new box office record.

Monday is crucial for any big-budget film as the numbers are expected to drop after a phenomenal opening weekend. Pushpa 2, too, saw a drop but still managed to earn Rs 64.1 crore nett at the domestic box office on Monday. Going by the trade reports, this is indeed a great sign for the film, which will soon enter the Rs 1,000-crore club.
According to the tracking website Sacnilk, the Telugu version earned Rs 14 crore, while the Hindi version collected Rs 46 crore nett in India. In Tamil Nadu, the film earned Rs 3 crore nett on December 9.
The five-day total collection of Pushpa 2 now stands at a whopping Rs 593.1 crore nett in India.
