The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) carried out surprise inspections in 29 schools across six regions on December 18 and 19, 2024, to ensure schools adhere to its strict Affiliation Bye-Laws. These inspections aimed to evaluate compliance with CBSE norms, focusing on student enrolments, infrastructure facilities, and operational standards.
The inspections began in Delhi on December 18, followed by Bengaluru (Karnataka), Patna (Bihar), Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), and Ahmedabad (Gujarat) on December 19.
Additionally, several institutions failed to meet infrastructural norms mandated by the CBSE.
