The Indian Institute of Technology Madras is offering more learning opportunities to school students through its School Connect Programme. Earlier limited to two courses, the programme now includes 10 online certificate courses for students in Classes 10, 11, and 12 across India.
Organised by the institute’s Centre for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), the initiative aims to introduce school students to new and emerging fields of study. Each course runs for eight weeks and includes assignments along with an optional project to give students a hands-on learning experience.
Registration for the August 2025 batch is now open, and schools can enrol students at code.iitm.ac.in/schoolconnect/ by July 25, 2025.
Speaking about the vision behind the programme, Prof. V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, “At IIT Madras, we believe that early exposure to emerging fields can spark curiosity and shape future innovators. By empowering students at a formative stage, we are investing in a future-ready nation.”

The programme will be conducted in three batches this academic year—in August, October, and January—giving students the chance to take up to three courses annually. Read More
