Young Nepal spinner Yuvraj Khatri injured himself while celebrating a wicket in the team's group-stage match against Bangladesh. Playing in the U19 Asia Cup, Khatri put up a sensational performance against Bangladesh on Sunday, December 1. While he picked up 4 wickets from his 6 overs, Khatri landed himself in trouble.
The incident happened when caught Rizan Hossain plumb in front of the stumps in the 28th over of the match. An overenthusiastic Khatri started jumping around, and eventually twisted his left foot. Khatri immediately fell to the ground and winced in pain. In a matter of moments, Khatri's joy turned into a grave concern for the Nepalese side.
Khatri is not the only person to injure himself while celebrating in the recent times. Australia pacer Jhye Richardson, who is currently playing in the Sheffield Shield also pulled his shoulder muscles while celebrating a wicket.
The incident happened in West Australia's match against South Australia earlier in November. In the match, Jhye Richardson claimed back-to-back wickets in his opening over, removing South Australian opener Conor McInerney and No.3 Daniel Drew in consecutive deliveries.
